How we started…
Our goal was to create the ultimate wildlife safaris for people who wanted to learn about and experience a variety of animals in their natural habitat and to give photographers an opportunity to create award winning photos. I traveled solo through Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Tanzania checking out parks, meeting guides/drivers, and finding experiences that were unique and educational. I wanted to build the perfect tours for people who would probably only come on safari once in their life . In 2016 I led my first group photo safari to Tanzania and Uganda and since then I haven’t look back.
Our tours are built for any traveler. We offer group tours for those who are solo adventurers, but prefer not to travel alone, private safaris for families, couples, or even a photographer looking to get that award winning photo and we even book the most memorable honeymoons and/or elopements you can imagine (our elopements even include a photographer!).
The Tour Leader Kathleen Ricker is a published writer and International Award Winning Wildlife Photographer. She was most recently awarded the Environmental Photographer of the Year in 2021 for one of her images of a Gorilla by the water. This same image was taken on a Safari she led to Uganda in January 2020 where her guests were able to experience something truly special. Kathleen leads four Photography tours a year. These tours are specifically designed for photographers. She offers one on one guidance and support to help beginner photographers feel comfortable with their camera and more advanced photographers to push themselves to create award winning images.
